How to Make Stuffed Crescent Rolls

The holidays are here, it is time to get into the kitchen and make delicious meals. Your kids will enjoy incorporating various ingredients into the rolls. This can make up for a fun bonding activity, especially in the winter. The rolls should be served with a glass of warm milk especially during breakfast or snack time. If these rolls are meant to be eaten for dinner, they could be accompanied by a bowl of warm winter soap. There is nothing as delicious as eating freshly baked bread with your favorite soup. To create a balanced meal out of the rolls, you could serve them with grilled meat and vegetables.

To make some stuffed CRESCENT ROLLS, you need a few key ingredients. These are:

  1. Four cups of all-purpose flour
  2. One teaspoon of baking powder
  3. A quarter ounce of dry yeast
  4. One teaspoon of salt
  5. A cup of milk
  6. Half a cup of butter
  7. A quarter cup of honey
  8. Three eggs
  9. Desired toppings

Step 1: Mix the ingredients

Mix the flour, yeast salt, and baking powder thoroughly in a large bowl using a whisk. In another bowl, heat the milk, butter, and honey to about one twenty degrees Fahrenheit. Add the warm mixture into the large bowl and mix them evenly. After about two minutes add the egg yolk and stir to form a soft dough.

Step 2: Knead the dough

Lightly spread flour over your working counter on which you will turn the dough. Flour your hands to and begin to shape the dough into a ball. Turn the dough with your palms in a rolling motion and fold it towards you.

As you knead, continue spreading flour over your counter space to prevent the dough from sticking onto it. Knead the dough for about seven minutes until it is smooth and elastic. Grease up a bowl and place the dough in it. Wrap the bowl with a transparent foil and leave it to rise for roughly forty minutes.

Step 3: Chill the dough

Place the dough in a plastic bag and leave it in the fridge overnight.

Step 4: Cut and roll the dough

Divide the dough into two halves. Roll each portion into a circle using a rolling pin. Use a knife to cut each circle into sixteen equal wedges.

Take each wedge and place your desired toppings on it. You could let your kids use marshmallow topping on their wedges. Ensure that they pinch all sides of the edges to prevent the marshmallow from leaking out. Lightly brush some butter on all the stuffed rolls and place them on the baking pan.

If you have different toppings, you should follow the same procedure as done with marshmallow. For example, you could use mozzarella and slices of pepperoni on some wedges. Roll out your crescent dough and add your desired toppings then roll them up and brush with butter. You season your crescent rolls using garlic, cinnamon or Italian seasoning.

Step 5: Bake

Preheat the oven to three hundred and seventy-five (375°) Fahrenheit. Let the crescent rolls bake for about eleven minutes until they are golden brown. Ensure that you place a foil on the rack that will collect any spills from the rolls. Remove the crescent rolls from the oven and let them cool.

Serve warm. Enjoy!
